World-renowned lighting manufacturer Streamlight has just announced an incredible update to their HL (High Lumen) series, the Streamlight ProTac HL Headlamp. This will be Streamlight’s brightest headlamp to date, producing 540 lumens in high. Expected to be available in December 2013, this headlamp is sure to completely change the market by offering high output, durability, and a low price point. Let’s take a closer look at the specifications: Streamlight ProTac HL Headlamp Output: 540 lumens high, 95 lumens medium, 18 lumens low Run time: 1.75 hours high, 8 hour medium, 36 hours low Battery type: 2 x CR123 lithium batteries Material: Anodized aluminum Beam distance: 564 feet (172 meters) MSRP: $99.00 One of the things that really sets the Streamlight ProTac HL headlamp apart is that it has Streamlight’s TEN-TAP programmable switch. This allows you to choose from three different programs: high/medium/low (default), high only, or low/medium/high. This level of customization is pretty unique to Streamlight, and it gives you a lot of versatility to make the headlamp perform to the task at hand. Another unique thing about the Streamlight ProTac HL headlamp is that is comes with both a cloth headstrap and a rubber hard hat strap. This is a big bonus for those who need an industrial headlamp that can be used in conjunction with a hard hat. The rubber strap will grip the plastic hard hat instead of sliding off. |
